Mechanic 3- VHL
Primary Responsibility:Performs complete disassembly and reassembly of ZF transmissions including implementing product updates.
Performs all duties of Tech I & II as described on job descriptions
Inspects and reports failure analysis of product and parts
Tests product; may use laptop in field to perform analysis
Troubleshooting (verbal or with customer)
Performs limited field work using test computer specific to product
Works independently and may travel locally to customer locations
Must be able to work on D.O.L. safety sensitive product and have a valid drivers license
Performs related tasks as assigned
Organizational Relationships:Reports to Team Leader
Educational Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to read and write English. Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong computer skills required.
Experience Requirements:Technical or vocational school or 2-3 years mechanical product experience preferred. Knowledge of hand or pneumatic tools; fork lift or pallet jack experience; previous lean manufacturing experience preferred.
