Position Summary: Facilitates maintaining a safe

and healthful environment by identifying and anticipating concerns and hazards;

developing and enforcing systems, policies and procedures. Responsible for compliance for all environmental,

safety and health aspects including federal, state and local as well as ZF

requirements. As a member of the HR team, adheres to all HR policies and

practices and assists with all HR related activities.

Position Duties:

Supports the TSC facility and Corporate functions

for all matters relating to Environmental Health and Safety.

Develops programs for accident prevention and


Guides and promotes safe work performance by

developing safety systems, policies and procedures; developing safety campaign,

communications, and recognitions; training managers and employees.

Complies with federal, state and local environmental

and safety regulations by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating

future legislation; interpreting standards; enforcing adherence to regulations;

advising management on needed actions.

Enforces environmental and safety policies by

conducting inspections, determining root cause and required corrective actions;

reporting statistics; counseling managers and employees.

Promotes a safe environment by serving as liaison

for coordinating and cooperating with local, state and regional safety groups

and agencies.

Ensures OHSAS18001 and ISO 14001 system


Responsible for recording OSHA reporting


Maintains health, environmental and safety KPI’s /

HR Metrics.

Compiles mid-year and annual reports and reports to

top management for review.

Identifies and anticipates EH&S concerns and

hazards by surveying occupational conditions; rendering opinions on new

equipment and procedures; investigating violations; recommending preventive


Maintains professional and technical knowledge by

attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications;

establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Coordinates activities of environmental, health and

safety committee.

Responsible for evaluation of environmental issues

and completion of annual environmental report.

Assists with managing security of the ZF TSC


Maintains MSDS/SDS sheets; developing and

maintaining management information systems which identify the location of

hazardous materials in all facilities; Disseminating Right-to-Know information

and ensuring compliance with program.

Coordinates fork truck and panel truck safety

program training and maintains fork truck licenses. Ensures program adheres to state and federal


Responsible for attending the annual EH&S


Maintain open door communication and promote an

SFM (Shop Floor Management) and work as cross-functional team to ensure the

rollout of TSC programs, plant updates, and required training.

Maintain technical knowledge by attending

professional societies.

Understand and comply with ZFPS, TS16949, OHSAS

18001, ISO 14001, and OSHA requirements

and all state and local applicable laws

Computer skills; Excellent communication skills; Comprehensive

Bachelor's Degree (technical preferred)

2-5+ years (related)
