Job Description

We are looking for a new colleague in the ZF Race Engineering Team at our location in Solihull.

Your tasks as Principal Software Engineer - Product Applications:

  • Technically leading certain projects and work packages, providing technical leadership and guidance to the project team

  • Directly contributing to project software activities by producing system and software specifications, software designs, coding in embedded C and a range of software testing techniques

  • Specifying and managing the delivery of software work products by sub contracted off-shore teams

  • Contributing to project proposals and quote preparation

  • Contributing to the development of engineering processes and procedures

Your profile as Principal Software Engineer - Product Applications:

  • Successfully completed university degree in a relevant discipline

  • Post-graduate experience of software engineering life cycle for safety critical product applications

  • Experience in both hands on development as well as planning and managing of software activities

  • Interest in production and software development and experience of delivering software to specification within time and cost constraints

  • Self-motivated and proactive team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

This is an exciting opportunity to join ZF Race Engineering in Shirley UK. You will develop safety critical embedded software for active safety and driveline systems for some of the world’s most exciting motorsport and special series vehicle applications. ZF Race Engineering provides high performance products, product development, validation and reliability services through its motorsport, special series and engineering services product lines.
