Position Summary: The Internal Communications Lead is primarily responsible for managing the internal communications team with all aspects of employee outreach and role of out of strategic communications concepts.

Position Responsibilities:

•Co-develop and execute regional internal communication strategy.

•Help execute Mexico Communications strategy, including formation of resource in-country and oversee this resource.

•Lead coordination of key regional internal events, such as the company’s internal pitch event

•Establish and maintain relationships with key internal audiences, acting as the primary internal communications contact for facilities and HR in the region

•Work with cross-functional internal customers such as HR, engineering, sales and IT to support

•Collaborate with global marketing and communications department to develop and implement strategic communications concepts

•Work closely with Division communications leads to develop innovative stories lines that communicate the companies goals and strategic initiatives across all corporate channels

•Create content for all internal channels and encourage others to do so, including but not limited to: Zoom, we›move, we›blog, etc.; explore and implement new communication channels, including digital signage

•Collaborate to develop and execute communication plans that support various initiatives throughout the year, including location celebrations and milestones, local media requests, etc.

•Manage and administer ZF Gives (North America’s corporate giving program), continue to evolve and grow initiative as possible and collaborate with global we›care organization

•Lead coordination of Regional Town Halls and assist with Division region town halls when necessary.

•Act as liaison to regional and global HR marketing teams, support as needed

•Manage a supporting team, including expectations, deadlines and budgets

•Write, copyedit, proofread and revise various communications materials

•Provide communications support and counsel to various teams within the organization

•This role reports to Head of N. A. Communications, and will work closely with location leadership and HR

•Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies

•Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related

•8+ years of PR agency and/or in-house communications, journalism or PR experience

•A primary contact, effective spokesperson and a reliable resource with internal stakeholders including executives, HR managers and employees throughout the region

•Strong written and verbal communication skills

•Excellent skills and passion for communications and developing relationships within all levels of the organization

•Motivated and positive self-starter who is able to work independently, collaboratively and cross-functionally

•Ability to multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously within tight deadlines

•Excellent computer skills, including all MS Office programs

•Ability to travel 10 percent of the year including internationally

Preferred Skills and experience:

•An understanding of the global automotive and technology industries

•Strong familiarity and experience using AP Style

•Experience in a fast-paced, high growth environment

•Experience in the Automotive industry

•German and/or Spanish language skills
