ZF's advanced camera solutions provide safety systems such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Following Distance Indication (FDI), Lane Keeping assistance (LKAS) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW). These functions are realized with a forward-looking monocular camera mounted at the windshield in the region of the rear-view mirror. This position is responsible for the software development of Camera systems for the ADAS Business Unit.
Principal Software Engineer needed in Farmington Hills, MI for development of software architecture and requirements for embedded safety systems. Apply ASPICE 3.1 process and ISO26262 specification in the creation of the software architecture. Develop specification of software requirements in DOORS. Develop software architecture design in UML compliant with AUTOSAR. Document design decisions and allocate requirements to software components and their interfaces. Raise, track, and bring to closure new and open issues, providing technical expertise to the development team. Develop new products and changes to existing products. Interface with systems, hardware, and management teams to design new architectures, and to analyze impact of changes to existing products. Must have master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 8 years of automotive experience. Three of eight years must include experience with DOORS and Rhapsody (or UML equivalent tool), in the context of AUTOSAR and functional safety critical systems. In lieu of the above education and experience requirements, we will accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer/Electrical Engineer or related field, plus 10 years or experience, with five years of progressive post bachelor’s automotive experience. Five of eight years must include experience with DOORS and Rhapsody (or UML equivalent tool), in the context of AUTOSAR and functional safety critical systems. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel will be required, to be reimbursed by employer.
