These rapidly evolving camera, radar and lidar based technologies assist drivers by providing information and acting on environmental data at the front, side and rear of vehicles to help warn drivers of impending danger. They can also provide intuitive cues or actions such as braking and steering inputs to help “coach” the driver to stay in lane or offer convenience functions like Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Collision Mitigation Braking (CMB), Following Distance Indication (FDI), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Centering Assist (LCA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), and Surround View (SV) - 360 degree Bird's Eye View with 3D image perspective and integrated safety.
As an Engineering Supplier Manager, you will be responsible for actively and effectively leading and managing the engagement of suppliers that have been identified as sources that may provide key IP/algorithm and ASIC technology for ZF’s Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) Engineering group.

As the lead of a focused US based team, and in cooperation with the European Supplier Management team responsible for EU projects, you will be actively supporting the development of the next generation of products supporting enhanced driver perception and safety.

Overall supplier management lead for hardware, advanced development and quoting activities.
Lead and host weekly discussions and open issues list generation, review and tracking with report out to the engineering management team each week.
Ensure accurate and timely accounting of supplier invoices and payments.
Lead the Change Control Board (CCB)
Identify, communicate and track software release plan
Review, understand and communicate feature updates
Ensure alignment to the defined change management process
Lead technical discussions related to supplier technology ensuring participation of the cross-functional teams as needed.
Lead/support ZF advance development projects utilizing supplier technology.
In response to customer RFI/RFQ received by ZF, prepare clear and concise SOW supporting new business opportunities for both advanced developments and series production programs.
Working together with purchasing, obtain project quotes for NRE, component piece price and licensing costs as needed.
Oversee PO creation to ensure prompt and timely supplier support for all ZF program activity
Support annual purchasing negotiation discussions to ensure cost-down activities are aligned with ZF strategy.
Semiannual travel to a supplier’s primary development location is expected to establish and maintain a strong foundation for success.
Support of customer meetings and technical discussions may also result in periodic or on-demand travel.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Engineering required
