Position Summary

The safety engineer is assigned projects according to the standard ISO26262 such as:

• Derive and specify safety requirements and safety concepts

• Support project team in preparing work packages as required following the safety lifecycle wrt systems, SW and HW engineering

• Collaborate with the design team in the design of effective technical solutions aimed to achieve adequate robustness at System, HW and SW architectural level

• Establish functional safety and corresponding processes within projects and business unit

Position Requirements

  • Experiences in Embedded Systems Design and Systems, SW or HW Engineering

  • Understanding of V-Model and convinced attitude for requirements based development and its application in Automotive industry

  • Experiences in (safety) analyses like hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA), FMEA, FTA and similar

  • Experiences in the application of standards like for instance ISO26262, IEC61508, ASPICE or CMMi

  • English language skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar discipline
